If you use the digital CAD software exocad we run both beginners and advanced courses. You will be part of a small group of around eight, so plenty of opportunity for you to ask and learn about the techniques that interest you. Sharing a workshop with like minded CAD users you will also benefit from their experience and questions too.
You will be guided by the expert James Cox, who is regarded as one of the best aesthetic dental designers in the UK and runs his own design company AesthetiCad. He has a comprehensive knowledge of exocad and draws on his 10 years of experience to deliver some amazing content. Our own Niall Kindersley will also be there to offer individual support during the workshop. Niall draws upon his experience as a crown and bridge technician to deliver training on all things digital for both technicians and dentists alike. He is an official exocad trainer and spends most of his time on chairside CAD or with an intraoral scanner.
The beginner’s course is suitable for technicians who are fairly new to digital dental design, those students looking for a head start in CAD design as well as those experienced technicians who want to convert their skills to digital. The course is open to any member of your dental team including dentists, technicians and nurses.
The objective of the beginner’s course includes case set-up and design of crown, veneer, bridge, onlay, bite splint and import and export scans and designs. You will have access to a laptop and exocad software and this training session meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcomes and awards 7 hours of CPD.
